Planning Approved for 41-Storey Tower Parkside at Colliers Yard

We are pleased to announce that we have now been granted full planning permission for a 41-storey tower, known as Parkside, that will provide 518 high-quality new homes. It will be the third tower, alongside Bankside and Cortland, and complete the Colliers Yard neighbourhood, located within Greengate.

The three carefully curated towers at Collier Yard will each house a mix of apartments and penthouses, as well as extensive public realm for the local community including a new public park named ‘Greengate Park’   over half an acre size , a tree-lined boulevard ‘Bankside Boulevard’ adjoining a new public square ‘Collier Square’ which will re-frame local landmark and Grade II* listed building, Collier Street Baths.

Designed by local architects, Denton Corker Marshall, Parkside will feature distinctive bronze coloured aluminum paneling across four main vertical pillars which will accentuate the slenderness of the tower. Parkside, similar to Bankside and Cortland towers, will also feature a 2-storey buff-coloured brick podium, designed to be in keeping with the historical local brick-built landmarks, Eagle Inn pub and Blueprint Studios.

Daren Whitaker, MD Renaker, said

“Parkside marks another key step in our wider regeneration plans at Colliers Yard. We plan to deliver not only high-quality new homes with access to first class amenities for our residents, but to also create a new thriving city centre destination, and a neighbourhood that the city can enjoy through the creation of a new public boulevard, local leisure amenity, and the creation of Greengate Park.”

Firmly established as Manchester’s leading property developer, Renaker has a proven track record of delivering spacious, high-quality homes, with desirable amenities, and creating aspirational new neighbourhoods where communities can thrive. Renaker is also creating another new residential district within Manchester city centre, at the southern end of Deansgate around Great Jackson Street, with progress already underway.
