The value of Greater Manchester’s AI companies has increased more than five-fold since 2020, with estimates suggesting the number of AI jobs in the region could grow to 25,000 by 2035*.
The University of Manchester is paving the way for future growth in the sector, becoming the first university in the world to launch an official partnership with Microsoft, equipping staff and students with Copilot AI training, alongside fuelling transformative AI research through the Turing Innovation Catalyst programme.
